Smoked Salmon with Gherkin, Beetroot & Vanilla Vodka Crème Fraîche

About the Recipe

A lovely dish which effortlessly gives the feeling of 'special'. If you enjoy both smoked salmon and beetroot then this Scandinavian inspired recipe will impress both you and your house guests

Ingredients

200ml Crème Fraîche

3 Tsp Vanilla Vodka

2 Tsp Horseradish

6 slices Smoked Salmon

250g cooked Baby Beetroots thinly sliced, then diced

2 Gherkins thinly sliced, then diced

Salmon Caviar (optional)

few Dill leaves

Black Pepper

Preparation

Beat the Crème Fraîche with the Vanilla Vodka and a little seasoning until it holds its shape

Then stir in the Horseradish

Chill in the fridge

Lay the slices of Salmon in the centre of two plates,

Then top with the Beetroot and a spoonful of the Crème Fraîche

Scatter around the edges the Gherkin

Top with the Salmon Caviar, if using,

Then scatter with the Dill

Grind over some Black Pepper and serve
